6 Ways to Take Your Winter Style into Spring

Wardrobe pieces to transition into the new season…

By Ashley Foerster

WintertoSpringPunxsutawney Phil might have predicted a long winter, but, we promise, spring is just around the corner. Still haven’t transitioned your closet from cold weather clothes to a sunny wardrobe? No need to panic! These six picks will take you from winter to spring in no time.

1. Bright Blazer

Sick of wearing the same black sweater every day? Throw on a magenta or royal blue blazer to make your outfit pop. And once it’s warm outside, a colorful blazer serves as a great accessory for sundresses

2. Maxi Skirt

These versatile and oh-so-comfy skirts are perfect for any type of weather. Grab a chunky sweater to brave the cold and then create a peppy spring look by pairing your maxi with a floral patterned, flirty blouse when the weather warms up.

3. Jewel-Tone Denim

Brightly colored jeans bring a breath of fresh air to dreary winter wardrobes and work perfectly with neutral colored tops. Once spring is here, these festive jeans will look great with a light colored tank or breezy blouse.

4. Booties

Tuck your skinny jeans into booties for a pulled-together look this winter or pair them wide-leg jeans to create a hippie-chic ensemble. Keep your booties out for spring and wear them with miniskirts and comfy day dresses.

5. Light Sweater

Since these sweaters aren’t too bulky, they’re perfect for layering when the weather is chilly. In spring, they make for great day-to-night wear with anything from a pencil skirt to leather leggings.

6. Cotton Scarf

An excellent accessory anytime of the year, a bright scarf is perfect for adding a fun pop of color to your outfit. A light, cotton scarf can be layered with jackets and blazers during winter or worn with sun dresses and tank tops in the spring and summer.
