Spring Preview: Hot Styles for the Warmer Months Ahead

A look at what’s in store for spring…

SpringPreviewFor those of you living in colder climes, pull your scarf tightly around your neck as you dream of warmer days. Retailers sure make it easy, stocking the racks with spring styles while we are still wearing gloves. And, as you peer into a boutique, though the fogged up window, here are three of the hottest trends that you will see for the coming spring season.

Pretty in Pink

Feminine styles always have a place in spring and this upcoming season is no exception. The lace trend from last spring continues its build with laser cut styles, along with openwork and crochet. This comes along with the most girly of colors: pink. From coral-kissed shades all the way to vamp hot pink and everything in between, it’s a go-to color for the hot months. Also look for fresh floral prints, the ultimate nod to the season’s gentle theme.

Black and White

After all the rich fall tones, a little bit of sharp, contrasting black and white will feel especially fresh in spring. Architectural shapes rule with pops of bright color. That minimal aesthetic is present in leather trims, Lucite and a whole host of innovative materials.

Adventure

The jetsetter trend this spring sees market bazaar items in ethnic prints, animal looks, pleather and wooden beads. Stacked up bracelets complete the look along with straw and raffia handbags.
