Three Ways to Add Sparkle to Your Beauty

Try these three tricks to add some glitz and glam to your holiday look...

LEyeshadowooking to spice up your beauty routine this holiday?  While a bold lip color or smoky eye can seem dated, adding a little glitter to your face can be festive, refreshing, and light up your face. And far from the craft glitter that you may have used making ormaments, shimmering beauty products are far more sophisticated. From chunky glitter nail polishes to luminescent lip glosses, there are plenty of ways to add some glitz to this season.

The look was also popular on the runways. Chanel (one of our favorite shows this season), sent models down the catwalk with sparkling silver eyelids, the perfect look for a New Year’s Eve party. However, when real life calls for a more low-key look, try three of our favorite tricks:

1. Add Glitter to Your Manicure

Whether you add a shiny topcoat or drop loose glitter onto a statement nail, adding some light-reflecting particles to your nails is an easy way to ease into the glitter world.

2. Dab The Inner Corners of Your Eyes with Sparkly Eye Shadow

Nothing like the disco eyes you’re imagining, highlighting the inner corners of your eyes will make them appear larger, and make you look more awake!

3. Place Some Sparkle on Your Cupid’s Bow

That small indentation in your top lip? It’s called your cupid’s bow, and by adding a tiny spot of sparkly highlighter to it will make your lips appear larger and more kissable! Mistletoe anyone?
