Love him or hate him, Argo star Ben Affleck has a talent that’s unquestionable and a fashion sense that has sometimes been questioned. Nevertheless, “Affleck has a style a lot of women love and a look a lot of men would love to have,” says personal style guru and author of an upcoming book on Silicon Valley style, Joseph Rosenfeld. “He looks good clean shaven or swarthy with cocktail hour stubble. I’ve even seen him going full grizzly.”
With classically handsome features, Affleck easily changes from slacker casual to sophisticated suave. “Affleck’s affable appearance ranges from t shirts and jeans on a typical day to tuxedos for red carpet moments,” says Rosenfeld. “He seems to take every look down a notch so he always seems more relaxed and laid back in rolled up long sleeved shirts, a suit without a tie, or a tuxedo with a necktie rather than a bow tie.”
With his wife, the beautiful Jennifer Garner by his side, “Ben’s star always shines a bit brighter,” says our style expert. To get the look, start with your core. “First, workout.” says Rosenfeld. “Set those upper arms into shape to pull off a t shirt the way Ben does. Next, find some jeans that are slightly loose. For something dressy, consider a necktie with a notched lapel suit. When wearing a peak lapel suit, go open collar. And finally, and this is super important, get a great beard trimmer to nicely maintain a shadow or short length beard.”
