Coming off the holidays and entering the new year, we are all a bit spent, in every sense of the word. So why not ring in 2015 in style at home? This way it can be as intimate as you like while still remaining relaxed and fun. Here are our ideas for setting a romantic New Year’s Eve table for two.
Color Coded
Choose a color theme befitting the event and let it run from the flatware to the linens, plates and decorations. And, since it’s New Year’s Eve, we suggest a lot of sparkle. Black and white are sure to set off the razzle dazzle of gold or silver. This will look dramatic, celebratory and also very romantic.

Fabulous Fabrics
No romantic table is complete without a table linen and/or placemats and napkins. It’s easy to find some that include New Year’s Eve-centric glitz. Find napkin holders that bring the holiday to light, for example, those with glitter or beaded embellishments.

Light It Up
Candles make any moment romantic. And New Year’s Eve is no exception. Stay away from single, tall candles and opt instead for large votive candles placed on the table and around the room.

Get Fresh
Flowers are the ultimate romantic statement. Place fragrant buds, roses especially, in the center of your table and drape them in transparent glittered cloth, faux pearl or diamond strings.

Toast the New Year
5-4-3-2-1. Happy New Year! This calls for a champagne toast. There is no better way to serve champagne than in beautiful crystal flutes. And to keep your bubbly cold, don’t forget the ice bucket.

A little ingenuity, and you can bring the street party inside, just for the two of you to enjoy. Happy New Year!
