Kitchen MixerFor many, the kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s where families spend much of their time, guests often congregate, and of course, it’s where all the culinary magic happens.

But so often, boring, lackluster accessories dull an otherwise gorgeous kitchen. Thankfully, accessories ranging from blenders to serving pieces now come in a wider array of hues and colors than ever before to help you add some pizazz to your cooking space.

Retro serving pieces can come coated in everything from bright orange to shocking pink. And if they look that good, why not consider keeping them out on the counter for display?

If you have glass cabinets, stack some intensely colorful plates behind them. The color will poke through just enough to add some interest.

Have an island in the kitchen? Try some interchangeable, bold placemats.

For those items that tend to sit out on countertops, go whimsical with brightly toned food processors, scales and mixers. There are as many colors as your imagination allows.

And, if you’re feeling really ready for a change, think about switching out your stovetop knobs to customizable blue or pink. Kitchen basics will never be basic again.
