Guys, Look Your Best on Valentine’s Day

Spiff up…

Christmas and New Years are over, but the trickiest winter holiday is right around the corner. That’s right guys - Valentine’s Day. Between the weather, partying, and general winter malaise, you may have found yourself unleashing your inner schlub. To impress that special someone, that simply won’t do. Time to get your game face on, gents. Your Valentine’s night could depend on it.

To beard or not to beard

First things first, let’s talk facial hair. Beards may be having a moment, but that’s no reason to be looking like Grizzly Adams. Invest in a good trimmer, and keep that face warmer trimmed for a dashing, nuzzle-able look. For the clean-shaven, you want to put your best skin forward. An exfoliant before shaving will scrub off any dead skin trapping your hair follicles, making for a smoother glide.

My two scents

Your natural dude musk is no doubt truly intoxicating, but scent memory is strong so making a good first impression is imperative. Take the time before the big night to get a handle on your scent game. What works best for one guy may not be best for another, so shopping around is key. But be careful not to overdo. A little whiff goes a long way.

Rugged hands may sound sexy, but take it from us, gents; a little moisturizer keeps skin soft and touchable. Cracked and calloused skin does not make for good hand-holding, but a soft, well-manicured pair of mitts is inviting. Wear gloves to ward off icy winter winds, and moisturize with a heavy-duty hand cream for plush paws.
