Now that the kids have gone back to school, it’s your chance to do a little “back to you” shopping! The stores are full of covetable fall clothes and accessories in exciting new hues. Three popular Pantone colors for fall 2015 are Stormy Weather, Oak Buff and Desert Sage. All three work beautifully together as well as providing neutral territory to ground the more intense shades in your wardrobe.

Stormy Weather

As its name suggests, it is a powerful blue-grey shade. An easy-to-wear neutral for those with blue eyes, Stormy Weather just may replace black as your go-to color for fall. Pair it with other neutrals for a subdued look. Or combine it with brights such as Amethyst Orchid, Cashmere Rose, or Cadmium Orange. This hue is luxurious and expensive looking! Perhaps your shopping list should include a Stormy Weather suede boot, cashmere cardigan or a sexy wool pencil skirt. Any piece you choose is destined to become a workhorse in your closet!

Oak Buff

Another neutral, Oak Buff warms up your fall color palette. Reminiscent of well-known camel, it is often seen paired with black, navy and cream. Why not show it up a little differently this season? Oak Buff is both rich and unexpected paired with jewel tones such as teal blue and amethyst, and pastels such as blush and mint green. Because Oak Buff has an orange/yellow undertone, it may be a little difficult to wear next to your face unless you have warm coloring. Not to worry! Wear it on your bottom half or even better as a gorgeous boot or bag.

Desert Sage

A cool and soothing greenish gray, Desert Sage is yet another adaptable neutral that stands on its own; however, I encourage you to try it with just about every color in your closet. I think you’ll be pleased with its wardrobe expanding capabilities. For green-eyed beauties out there, Desert Sage will really make your eyes pop. And unless you have very high contrast coloring (such as dark hair and light eyes,) you’ll look best combining this soft color with less intense neutral shades such as gray and taupe.

A bounty of fall fashion awaits you! For stylish, on-trend additions to your fall wardrobe, be sure to include Stormy Weather, Oak Buff and Desert Sage.
