Fashion occasionally seems a bit off kilter. And this season, we’re pleased to say it’s never been more so. Asymmetrical hemlines are the rise and, well, fall of the fashion world. Whether it’s slashed up, diagonal, gathered or tumbling down to the knees, we’ve collected the easiest ways to wear the look, in all its forms.
Airy
Nothing is better for warm months than a breezy, asymmetrical hem. Look for boxy parachute styles that work well with flat sandals. Or, with a higher waisted skirt, let the longest part of the hemline fall just to the ankles. Stick to a form fitting blouse or sweater to keep the focus on the hem below.

Punk
Rock it up in diagonally sliced leather minis paired with a loose, tucked printed tee or sheer, asymmetrical dress with gathers in the back and dark, tough boots.

Sex Appeal
Highlight your legs in form-fitting silhouettes with jagged, stepped hemlines that draw attention to the thigh area. Tuck in your blouse to keep from anything airy distracting from the sensuality of the outfit. And pull it all together with statement heels and an envelope clutch bag.

Sporty
Take stripes and mesh or other athletic materials, mix them with a cute ponytail and a fresh, bare face. Think tank dresses or skirts with a tucked-in tank. Then, update it all with an asymmetrical hemline and you have the perfect addition to your sporty spring style.

The asymmetrical hemline takes the best of what’s already considered “spring dressing” and adds in just a hint of a 2015 update.
